Welcome to The Bridge Examinations Hub, an approved examination centre based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. We provide examination services for private candidates from across Wiltshire and the surrounding counties, offering a welcoming and supportive alternative to larger examination centres.

Whether you are home educated, a mature learner, studying through a distance learning provider, resitting qualifications, or taking a subject unavailable at your current school or college, our experienced examinations team is here to support you throughout the process.

Located on the White Horse Business Park in Trowbridge, our purpose-built examination facilities have been designed to provide a calm and comfortable environment for learners. Our smaller examination rooms are particularly suitable for candidates who prefer quieter surroundings, while our main examination hall accommodates up to 20 candidates, ensuring a less overwhelming experience than many larger centres.

Private Candidates

All private candidate entries must be submitted using the online entry form below.

Once an entry request has been received, candidates will receive confirmation of receipt and their application will be reviewed by the examinations team. Entries will be confirmed at the earliest opportunity following verification of subject availability, examination requirements and any associated fees.

For subjects that are less commonly requested, The Bridge Alternative Provision reserves the right to accept entries only where a minimum of five candidates have requested entry for the same qualification and examination series. This allows us to ensure examinations remain viable whilst maintaining our commitment to competitive pricing and high-quality service.

Candidates are encouraged to submit entry requests as early as possible.

Access Arrangements

We are committed to ensuring examinations are accessible for all learners.

Candidates who require access arrangements should notify us at the earliest opportunity and complete the relevant access arrangements documentation. Supporting evidence may be required in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) or Cambridge International Education (CIE) regulations.

Available arrangements may include:

Supervised rest breaks
Extra time
Readers and computer readers
Scribes and speech recognition technology
Word processors
Medical arrangements
Other reasonable adjustments permitted by the awarding organisation

Our SENCO and examinations team will guide candidates through the application process where appropriate.

Results and Certificates

Results are issued directly to candidates in accordance with awarding organisation regulations and data protection requirements.

Candidates will receive detailed information regarding results days, post-results services and access to scripts prior to the publication of results.

Examination certificates are received directly from awarding organisations following the completion of each examination series. Once certificates have been checked and processed, candidates will be invited to collect them from the centre. Secure postal delivery is available for candidates living outside Wiltshire.
